About Ann

Rooted in the Hudson Valley

I’m a lifelong Hudson Valley resident, proud to call Saugerties home with my husband, John, and our two children. John works locally as an electrical engineer, and together we chose Saugerties as the perfect place to raise our family.

I graduated from Marist University and built my early career in manufacturing as a project manager, gaining valuable experience in leadership, problem-solving, and working with diverse teams. After starting our family, I dedicated myself to volunteering extensively while being a full-time stay-at-home mom — from youth programs to community events and environmental projects — because I believe in giving back to the place that gives so much to us. Now I work for myself as a digital media consultant, helping small businesses, nonprofits, and political campaigns build their presence, connect with their communities, and amplify their impact.

I’m running for the Ulster County Legislature to bring that same dedication, professional experience, and hands-on community involvement to local government. My goal is simple: to help our towns thrive, our families feel supported, and our community stay strong, welcoming, and full of opportunity for everyone.

Why I'm Running

I’m running for the Ulster County Legislature because I believe our community deserves a representative who listens, takes action, and keeps our towns strong and connected. As a lifelong Hudson Valley resident raising my family in Saugerties, I see firsthand the challenges we face — from supporting small businesses and creating good-paying jobs to protecting our environment and ensuring our neighborhoods remain safe and welcoming.

I want to bring practical solutions, transparency, and accountability to local government. I will work to make sure every resident’s voice is heard, every opportunity is shared, and our communities are supported — especially in times of challenge. My goal is simple: build a stronger, more resilient Ulster County where families, businesses, and neighborhoods can thrive together.

Pillars

  • 1 Making life more affordable for Ulster County families. I’m focused on practical steps to ease financial pressure and keep everyday costs under control. That means addressing property taxes responsibly, supporting truly affordable housing, and improving how government spends taxpayer dollars. I will work to make essential services more accessible and transparent, so families, seniors, and small businesses can better plan and thrive.
  • 2 Greener Future Advancing zero waste, clean water, and green energy. I’m committed to protecting our environment through real, measurable action. That means reducing waste and moving toward zero-waste solutions, safeguarding our drinking water and natural resources, and expanding access to clean, renewable energy. By investing in sustainable practices today, we can build a healthier, more resilient future for Ulster County.
  • 3 Stronger Community Building a safer, healthier, and more connected Ulster County. I believe strong communities are built on support and connection. I am working to strengthen public health and human services, strengthen access to mental health and addiction care, and support the work of first responders. In the face of economic uncertainty and potential federal budget cuts, it’s more important than ever that we advocate for the resources our communities depend on. Investing in community programs and local partnerships is how we achieve greater resilience for the residents of Saugerties.
